Losing someone you love changes everything.
You are left with memories and nothing to hold onto. Many of us look for a way to physically carry that bond with us —something that reminds them that love never truly leaves us.
That’s where cremation jewelry comes in.

Whether you’re remembering a parent, spouse, child, grandparent, friend, or beloved pet, each piece is made with the utmost care, compassion, and respect.
What Is Cremation Jewelry?
Cremation jewelry (also called memorial jewelry or ashes jewelry) is handcrafted jewelry that permanently preserves a small portion of cremation ashes inside a beautiful stone.
Unlike traditional urn jewelry that simply stores loose ashes inside a compartment, these keepsakes permanently incorporate your loved one’s ashes into the design itself. The ashes become part of the stone, creating a one-of-a-kind memorial that can be worn every day.
Many families say wearing their memorial jewelry brings them comfort during difficult moments because it allows them to feel close to someone they miss deeply.

How Much Cremation Ash Is Needed?
One of the questions I hear most often is:
“Will I have enough ashes left?”
The answer is absolutely.
I only use approximately ½ teaspoon of cremation ashes to create your keepsake.
The remaining ashes are carefully packaged and returned to you for safekeeping after your order is completed.
Because such a small amount is needed, many families are able to create multiple keepsakes for siblings, children, grandchildren, or other loved ones.

We Carry More Than Rings
Many people are surprised to learn that cremation jewelry isn’t just limited to rings.
At Roselynn & Rayne, your loved one’s ashes can be incorporated into virtually any jewelry setting available on my website, including:
● Handheld Keepsake Hearts/Paws https://www.roselynnandrayne.com/category/handheld-keepsakes

Keepsakes for Those Who Don’t Wear Jewelry
Not everyone enjoys wearing jewelry—and that’s perfectly okay.
For families looking for another meaningful option, I also create:
● Handheld Keepsake Hearts
● Keepsake Paw Prints for beloved pets
These beautiful pieces can be displayed in your home, held during moments of remembrance, or passed down through generations as treasured family heirlooms.

Don’t Have Cremation Ashes?
Memorial keepsakes don’t have to be made with ashes.
If cremation isn’t part of your family’s story—or if you simply don’t have access to ashes—there are many other meaningful materials that can be preserved inside your keepsake.
Some of the most popular include:
● A lock of hair
● Fabric from a favorite shirt, blanket, or baby outfit
● Funeral flowers
● Grave-site soil
● Pet fur
● Wedding flowers
● Breastmilk
● Sand/Shells
● Umbilical Cord
● Other sentimental materials that hold special meaning

Every family’s story is different, and your keepsake should reflect the memories that matter most to you. Every piece is completely custom to you and your loved one.
Add Crushed Opal for Extra Beauty
One of my favorite options is pairing cremation ashes with crushed opal.
Crushed opal catches the light beautifully, creating soft flashes of color and sparkle from every angle while still allowing your loved one’s ashes to remain the centerpiece of the design.
The result is a meaningful keepsake that is elegant enough for everyday wear while serving as a constant reminder of the person you love.
Our Fire & Snow crushed opal is the number one favorite of our clients. See product photo below for fire and snow and ashes example. Truly a beautiful combination.

A Keepsake That Tells a Story
Grief doesn’t have a timeline.
Some days are harder than others.
Many families tell me that reaching for their necklace, looking down at their ring, or holding their keepsake heart brings a sense of comfort during those difficult moments.
Your loved one may no longer walk beside you, but their love remains part of your story.
My hope is that every piece I create becomes more than jewelry—it becomes a source of healing, comfort, and connection for years to come.
If you’re looking for handcrafted cremation jewelry in Illinois, I’d be honored to help create something as unique as the life you’re remembering.
